About Us

About Aaron
I was immersed in church life since childhood. By early adulthood, I was leading music, serving as an assistant youth pastor, developing and teaching discipleship programs, and even enrolling in Bible college. I built my life around ministry, doing everything I could to “get as many people saved as possible before I died.”
In 2007, everything shifted when a friend asked my brother a simple question (the question he told me about the very next morning): “What if when Jesus saved the world, He really saved the whole world, and there's nothing left for us to do?” (Thank you, Kim.)
That question launched us into the most thorough Bible study of our lives. After trying to prove our friend wrong, and ultimately failing, I was forced to start over. I had to stop and read the Bible as if I had never read it before, leaving behind all my preconceived ideas and everything I had been taught.
What I found changed everything, and they revealed a God far more merciful and loving than I had ever imagined. This book is the result of that study, from someone who once gave everything to the mainstream gospel before discovering the framework that makes the gospel truly make sense.
About Steve
I felt called to ministry at fifteen years old. By seventeen, I was president of my youth group, and soon after, I became a youth pastor. Church was my whole world. I lived for it. I stopped listening to anything but Christian music, spent every weekend at church events, and shaped my entire life around doing “whatever it takes” to get people saved.
Then in 2007, everything changed. A friend named Kim asked me a question that caught me completely off guard: “What if when Jesus saved the world, He really saved the whole world—and there’s nothing left for us to do?”
That question shook me. I went straight to my brother Aaron the next morning, and together we started digging into the Bible like we never had before. We weren’t trying to prove anything new—we were trying to prove Kim wrong. But as we studied, everything we thought we knew started to unravel.
What we found changed everything. The God we discovered was bigger, freer, and more loving than we ever imagined. The fear I’d lived under for so long began to fall away, and for the first time, I felt what real freedom in Christ could be.
This book is the story of that journey—from two pastors trying to defend what we’d been taught, to two brothers discovering a gospel that finally makes sense.
